and...THE-I-HAVE-ALL-THE-TIME-IN-THE-WORLD-VERSION

Jade Dressler is an Artist and Creative Director for art, lifestyle brands, and media.  The power of big concepts, simplicity, and savoring the moment encapsulates the fun and gift of Jade's vision for clients and her illustrations.

Producing compelling art, branding, content, products, and services is Jade’s forte. She has solidly formed the architecture of success for both mass and niche luxury and pop-culture lifestyle brand clients for over twenty-five years.  Jade, her clients, and her agency’s influence have walked a confluence of red carpets and couture runways; appeared on the sets, stages, screens, and board rooms of TV networks and major retail stores; and the agency has placed clients in all types of media through introductions, cultivation, and connections. In addition to her own illustrations, she has curated public art projects from NYC, to Milan to the wilds of Brazil.

Here is some history and some juicy details:

Designer. A first-year scholarship and BFA from Moore College of Art; immersion in art and architecture studies at Parsons Paris; and months in Siena, Italy with Villanova University, comprised her formal studies. Jade began her creative career as a retail store designer for Macy’s.  In addition to concepting, designing, and leading major renovations for three stores and numerous private label in-store shops, many rolled out as prototypes across the chain, Jade also directed the fashion presentations.

This love of brand message, style, design, and work with materials led to her co-design of a collection of couture jewelry and accessories collection, called JAMP.  The collection was picked up by Henri Bendels, Saks Fifth Avenue, Martha’s, Ron Herman, the famed Charivari, and internationally, by stores such as Joyce in Hong Kong and Creeds, through reps in based in New York, Miami and Paris.  JAMP was featured in media such as Accessories, Details, Elle, Marie Claire, New York Times, Vogue, W and WWD; styled by Stephan Gan; photographed by Sheila Metzner and was worn by legends such as Cher, Heart, Iman, Nina Hagen, Stella Tennant, and Naomi Campbell, among many others.  Jade also worked closely with legendary designers, Bill Blass, Mary McFadden, and Oscar de la Renta for specially commissioned designs for their runways.

Public Art.  As a curator, Jade Dressler has a habit of spawning large-scale art interventions in far-flung locales to highlight the balance of urban and nature.  Projects have included the international CODAward-winner, the curation of Portal do Sul by the artist, Pasha on 10,000 acres in Brazil and the Green Provocateur urban art intervention, transforming public stairs to the Garibaldi Train station in Milan into a forest scene during Salone 2011.  Her first urban art event was entitled Love Notes, in which scrolled, golden notes with poetry inside were placed in New York City's Union Square Park with the documentation of people interacting with the notes and poems.

Marketing Director.  Prior to opening her own creative agency, Jade was the global marketing and creative director for Gemini International, the legendary sound and DJ equipment that birthed hip-hop through Kool Herc’s first experiments in Cedar Park in the South Bronx and the equipment that virtually every DJ worldwide begins spinning on.  At Gemini, she directed advertising, branding, marketing, and public relations for France, Germany, South America, Spain and the US.

As marketing director and clothing designer for Blue Fish, one of the first lines of organic clothing and a member of Social Venture Network and Businesses For Social Responsibility, in the 1990′s, Jade was at the forefront of sustainable business practices and green product development that many are just discovering today.  Blue Fish sold at Nordstroms and 400 other stores in addition to five of its own stores in New York, Austin, Westport, Santa Fe, Taos, and Frenchtown, NJ.  Jade designed clothing and product collections, directed media and event plans, catalog, retail stores, and product design, events, advertising, videos, and socially conscious partnerships, including a program in Africa with Aid To Artisans.  Jade was also honored to be part of the DPO team for the company, whose board members included famed sustainability pioneers, Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerry’s and Gary Hirschberg of Stonyfield Farms yogurt.

Creative Director.  Jade has been engaged to create creative strategy by brands such as American Express Publishing; Aveda; Anne Cole Swim; Benjamin Moore; Daniel Boulud’s Five Leaf Cuisine; Design Within Reach; Hachette Filipacchi; Luxottica eyewear brands including Bvlgari, Chanel, and Prada; and as for the rest of the alphabet, Lenscrafters; Louis Vuitton; and Speedo.
