How her white hair...how her red coat sung in the winter NYC night...how he hugged her tight...tall, grey, wise, kind, in #Love, in NYC, after dinner in a small Soho trattoria, + into the night.

The Story: After a boisterous, delicious dinner with our Marrakech friends, Sandra Zwollo and Freck Vreeland, his sons and family and friends, we all huddled in the entrance, just stepped out into the freezing cold air.  As our breaths fogged and merged...Sandra and Freck said their 'goodbyes."

We all stood still, silent, transfixed, as the two hugged tight and walked like TRUE LOVE itself into the still of the night, in the middle of the quiet street.

Grandma Diana Vreeland would have been so proud.
