Saraswati Mountain Miss.
Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, music, art, and learning imagined in the East for thousands of years. In her name is the sound, 'Sare,' which means 'essence' and 'Sva,' which means 'essence of one self' -- together the sounds mean 'one with plenty of water.'
She is us, almost 90% water. She is wisdom, the vast underground river in the center of the Earth. I made her as a mountain because a mountain is in integral relationship with the up-flowing springs of the earth and the down-flowing melting of Winter into the valleys below.
The shirt she wears displays her wildflower power breasts while she effortlessly juggles all the balls of activity a mountain has to deal with.
You think your day is busy?
Mountains represent power, stability, fame, and self-confidence in Eastern thingys like the I Ching and Feng Shui. Hang Saraswati Mountain Miss behind your desk, do a little pow-wow ritual dance, and see if your juggling skills improve!
Behind-the-scenes fashion note: I based this shirt on one I designed, except the circles were made of red bandana fabric. I got a little carried away with the whole mountain theme and thus gave her wildflower breasts.
Here I am as Saraswati Mountain Miss. (in my own mind;-)
