Little Wanton Pocahontas.

Who got to romp as an Indian Princess all over Turtle Island, be a lover with the exotic Mr. Smith, and debut in Paris?

Pocahontas, that's who.

My portrait of 'Little Wanton' began by imagining of her young exotic beauty, I began to sketch her as an circled portrait and then halfway finished, I found this known portrait of her as a more seasoned woman, uncanny in the similarity.  I think she was talking to me through time, don't you?  I'm happy to be kinder to her beauty than my fellow etch-a-sketcher.

The necklace is a mix of a feather spray on tennis diamond strand for a collar befitting this Daughter of Two Worlds.
